The picture of the kids is adorable. Sounds like you are in your element! Glad you took that path.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17651562741418636593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4204337962318483196.post-73478346823873896742011-02-23T18:24:31.975-08:002011-02-23T18:24:31.975-08:00I've always loved this Frost poem. And I must ...I've always loved this Frost poem. And I must say, well put comments at the end. It's crazy to think back on the paths that have led us to where we are today. Yours taking you from Ohio, to Arizona, Guatemala, and Honduras. Mine taking me from Nebraska, to Arizona, and finally to Marion, Ohio where I'm dating a girl who lives down the street from a you, a friend I met 6 years ago 2000 miles away in a funny city named Tucson. Thought I'd give you one of my favorite poems for you to ponder while grading tests and running The Mat.

When I Heard the Learn'd Astronomer
By: Walt Whitman

When I heard the learn'd astronomer;
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me;
When I was shown the charts and the diagrams, to add, divide, and
measure them;
When I, sitting, heard the astronomer, where he lectured with much
applause in the lecture-room,
How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick;
Till rising and gliding out, I wander'd off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look'd up in perfect silence at the stars.DerekV495https://www.blogger.com/profile/14840036446721736090noreply@blogger.com
